Yet the culinary creativeness of young Charlie Oddo most certainly made its mark. In 1944 the people of Chicago were no strangers to great tasting pizza; nevertheless Mr. Oddo took it upon himself to start developing the pizza recipe that would later become a Windy City legend. After years of success, Uncle Charlie’s recipes passed to Great Nephew Vince Rizzo and for more than the last 35 years the legendary Rizzo Pizza has lived on at The Black Cat. The secret Rizzo Pizza Sauce and Dough are prepared fresh daily, even the Rizzo sausage is custom ground using the original secret recipe from the DiGirolamo Family. Our Story..
